Lehtisaari - summer cottage for all visitors
Lehtisaari is a common summer cottage for city residents in the middle of Tuomiojärvi in Jyväskylä. Lehtisaari is an open, child-friendly, and substance-free day trip destination for everyone. The island is ownd by the Evangelical Lutheran Parish of Jyväskylä.
On the island, you can, among other things, take a sauna, swim, play yard games, or go fishing. The island also has a barbecue shelter and a new main building, whose café is open during opening hours. You can come together with others or stay in your own peace. Everything is free including transportation and sauna. If you wish, you can pay a voluntary entrance fee at the main building's café.

Boats to Lehtisaari
Boats leave from the dock near Viitaniemi beach. Life jackets are provided by the house. Jackets are available in all sizes, including for babies. Please be on time!
- Tue–Fri on the hour from 3 PM to 7 PM
- Sat–Sun on the hour from 1 PM to 7 PM
- Boats away from island 7.50 PM and 8.50 PM
- Boats away from the island to Viitaniemi, 10 minutes before every hour
Note!
- Due to rowboat capacity, only 100 people can visit the island at a time.
- The maximum length of stay on the island is 3 hours.
- Visiting is allowed only during the opening hours.
- Lehtisaari is a non-alcoholic and non-smoking area.
- Lehtisaari is a litter-free island - take your litter with you.
- For health reasons, pets can visit on the neighboring Koivusaari, but not on the main island.

Sauna
In our lakeside sauna, you can relax when the island is open. From the sauna, you can cool off on the terrace and take a dip in Lake Tuomiojärvi. The sauna is free of charge and can accommodate 20 people at a time. It is not possible to make a reservation for the sauna. The sauna is a mixed sauna, so please wear a swimsuit in the sauna.
